How do I order a custom shade?

Open any product, choose a fabric color, enter your window size in centimeters, and pick a motor and installation option. The price updates as you go — add it to your cart, then check out.

What's the difference between Zigbee, Thread, Wi-Fi and the other motor options?

They're different ways for a motorized shade to talk to your phone and smart-home system. Manual shades use a chain or cord and need no power or connection at all.

Zigbee is a low-power wireless mesh built for smart homes: every mains-powered device passes the signal on, so range grows with the number of devices, and battery motors last a long time. It needs a Zigbee hub or bridge — for example Home Assistant with a Zigbee dongle, Amazon Echo with a built-in hub, SmartThings or Hubitat.

Thread is a newer low-power mesh and the network behind Matter, so one shade works with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Home Assistant alike. It needs a Thread border router, which many homes already have in a HomePod mini, Apple TV 4K, Nest Hub or recent Echo. It responds quickly and keeps working locally if your internet drops.

Wi-Fi motors connect straight to your home router, so no hub is needed and setup is usually just an app. The trade-off is power: Wi-Fi drains batteries fast, so these motors are best wired to mains, and each one takes a spot on your router.

Not sure which to pick? Go with whatever your home already runs — if you have a hub or border router, choose the matching motor; if you have nothing yet and are starting fresh, Thread is the most future-proof. The motors we currently offer are listed on each product page.

What if I don't know my exact window size?

Choose professional installation and leave the size fields alone. We come and measure your windows ourselves, and only price the shade once we have exact numbers — self installation needs your own measurement up front.

How do I measure my window for a shade?

Use a metal tape and work in centimeters. For an inside mount, measure the width at the top, middle and bottom and use the smallest; measure the height at the left, middle and right and use the longest. For an outside mount, measure the opening itself — we add the overlap. Either way, enter exactly what you measured and don't add or subtract anything.

How does professional installation work?

You pay a non-refundable installation fee up front to book the visit, since it covers our time either way. Once we've measured your windows, we confirm the final price and deposit, and your order joins the normal flow.

How much deposit do I pay, and how?

A 30% deposit once your order has a price. Payment happens outside the website — you'll see clear instructions and a QR code to scan, along with your order number to include.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Yes, as long as production hasn't started — contact us with your order number and what needs to change, and we'll take care of it and confirm by email.

How can I check on my order's status?

Sign in and open My account → Orders. Every order shows its current step, and we also email you at each milestone — deposit received, ready, and out for delivery or installation.
